A Snowman In St. George

We sure had some crazy weather this week! So crazy the Megan got to build her first snowman! It was so fun to make one together. We used rocks for the eyes and a piece of licorice for the smile. Megan was bummed because by noon her snowman, Frosty, was beginning to melt. I had to console her by telling her thats what happens when the sun comes out. All of the snow was gone by the end of the day, but it was a very fun morning!!

Dancing Queen!

Megan had her Christmas dance recital on Saturday night. She did a dance to "Jingle Bells." She knew her dance the very best out of all the dancers in her group (in her mom's biased opinion!). She was nervous to be backstage with the older girls. She really loves to dance!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Megan finally felt that this was the year that she could sit on Santa's lap! She never has before and she wanted to this year! She stopped talking to him to pose for the pictures. She was shy too, but she did ask him for a Bouncehouse Trampoline and High School Musical stuff. She even got a candy cane when she was done. She couldn't stop talking about it the rest of the day! I guess she realized he really wasn't that bad!

Its Beginning to look alot like Christmas!

Megan's favorite Christmas decoration is this snowman. It dances and sings "Ice Ice Baby!" Megan sings it as "Ice Ice Skating." Jason and I don't have the heart to tell her what the words really are!

Ryan's favorite Christmas decoration is Rudolph. He sings and his nose lights up. Ryan only tries to grab the red nose the whole time its playing.

Our Christmas countdown! Megan looks forward to every morning when she can take out the decoration for the day. She informs Jason and I constantly that Christmas is coming very soon!

Making a gingerbread man on skis at Hurst cooking classes. We love this at Hurst every Tuesday! The best part is that its FREE!

I've Been Tagged!!

So, I was tagged by my friend Julie and I have a little bit of time on my hands, so... here goes!!

7 Weird Things About Me:
1. My towels in my bathroom have to be folded and hung a certain way on the racks. When someone goes in and uses them and tries to fold them how they were, expect me to go in and "fix" them!!
2. I have a minor panic attack when I am about to finish a book and I don't have another lined up to begin reading! I have to keep my stack in my bedroom up so that doesn't happen! I always have my book on my coffee table I'm currently reading.
3. I absolutely have to floss my teeth every night before I go to bed! No matter how tired I am, I have to floss!!
4. I always have to carry chap-stick in my pocket! I'm not fully dressed until I have that in my pocket. I never know when my lips are going to get dry and need some moisture!!
5. When I am eating any meal, the food on my plate can't be touching each other! It all has to be by itself! I know it all goes to the same spot, but seeing it touching on my plate drives me crazy!!
6. I constantly wash my hands! That might be a little OCD, but whenever I touch something that might not be too clean, I have to wash my hands. Needless to say, my hands get a little dry!
7. I have to go to bed with a drink of water on my nightstand. That might make me sound like a really old lady, but I never know when I wake up if I'm going to be thirsty or not!

I was working at Chili's as a bartender, going to school full-time, and working as a special ed. aide for the school district.
I was married to someone else and not very happy!!

5 Things on my To Do List:
1. Clean out our storage unit.
2. Start my new book.
3. Clean the high chair for Ryan.
4. Get one load of laundry done.
5. Read to my kids.

5 Snacks I like:
1. Ice cream
2. Pretzels
3. Swedish Fish
4. Crackers
5. CHOCOLATE!!

5 Things I would do with a Million Dollars:
1. Buy myself a new car. My car is 10 years old and I'm antsy for a new one, but since I'm not working, that was my sacrifice I made!!
2. Give my friend money for a down payment on an apartment. She just lost her house and has to live with her sister!
3. Buy a bigger house! I want a house with a guest bedroom and a play room in it. Jason wants his "man room." (Whatever that means!!)
4. Go on a vacation to Hawaii and New York. I really want to see both of those places!
5. Add money to Megan's and Ryan's future.

5 Places I have lived:
1. Fredonia, Arizona
2. Gunnison, Utah
3. Provo, Utah
4. Orem, Utah
5. St. George, Utah

5 Jobs I have had:
1. Skippers!!
2. Mervyns
3. Waitress at Golden Coral
4. Waitress and bartender at Chili's
5. School teacher in first and fifth grade

5 People I am Tagging:
Bri Anna, Jenni, Karilyn, Angie, and Tami

Look Ma! No Cavities!

So, for those of you who know my daughter, she is kind of a wimp when it comes to certain things! The last time we went to the dentist, she would not let them take x-rays of her teeth! So for her dentist visit yesterday, I decided that a little bribery would have to come into play, so I bribed her with the High School Musical 3 CD. Sure enough-- it worked great! She went right back and got in the chair all be herself and let them take the x-rays! I was so proud of her! She let the hygenist do her job and the dentist do his! The best part was that her teeth looked great and no cavities! As soon as we were done we went right to Target and got her CD for her. We had to listen to it in the car on the way home. She was proud of herself and so was I!!

Just a Cute Picture!

So Ryan fell asleep in his swing the other day and I noticed that even though he was asleep, he wouldn't let go of his toys! I guess he was afraid that Megan would take them from him! He really didn't want her to have them!

Ryan at 5 Months!!

At five months old, Ryan:
~ has no desire to roll over!
~ has no teeth yet, but drools like he's maybe getting one.
~ is so happy all day long! The only time he fusses is when he's tired!
~ loves his big sister so much! He laughs and laughs at her!
~ sleeps for 2 hours at a time at night! He's having a really hard time with this! Mom hopes he gets the hang of it really soon!
~ takes 4 forty minute naps a day. That is kind of a hard one too!
~ loves to lay on the floor with his toys and talk and coo at them.
~ is such a joy to my life! I can't imagine my life without my little baby boy!

High School Musical Fanatic!

Thanks to Megan's cousin, Kayley, Megan has become obsessed with High School Musical. We took them to see High School Musical 3 the day it came out. It was a two hour movie and they sat mesmerized with it almost the entire time. Now she puts on her white Gabriella dress, (the one shes wearing) puts on her CD, and then "plays" High School Musical. She hasn't seen the first two yet, but she just knows that she likes it. She listens to the songs so much that mom finds herself singing them to herself in the morning or late at night! What a joy!

Happy Halloween!!

It was a great Halloween. Ryan was a monkey and Megan was 1/2 devil 1/2 angel. When we got the costume she asked, "Mom, what's a devil?" They both got quite a bit of candy, enough for mom and dad anyway. Jason and I decided that we really like Halloween because it only lasts a couple of hours and then you're done! It was a great Halloween this year!

Yearly Pumpkin Carving

The other night Jason and Megan carved their pumpkin together. This is something the two of them do together every year. They go and pick the pumpkin out and then carve it together. Megan really looks forward to it. The first year she reached her hand in one time to grab the seeds out and this year she cleaned it out almost entirely by herself. She felt that she picked the perfect pumpkin to make her own. I love the cirlce eyes this year.

Reverse Psychology Back-Fire

The other night at dinner, Megan was having a very hard time eating her dinner. Jason and I were saying everything we could think of to get her to eat her dinner. Jason then decided to use a little bit of reverse psychology. He said, "Megan, I bet you can't eat four more bites!" Megan looked at him and replied very seriously, "You're right!"

Let the Remodeling Begin!

So, last weekend, Jason started the remodeling/addition of our house! He took the windows out of our bedroom because there will be another room right there, and then framed them in. Then the doors on the washer and dryer came down so we could get the new ones up. You can tell by the picture that Jason was just a "happy camper!!" I had a little OCD kicking in with the room torn apart but it wasn't too bad. Now, we are waiting on the wonderful city of St. George for our building permits so we can continue the addition. Its going to be great when its done as it will be adding on about 800 square feet to our house!! YEAH!!

My Very Own Sleeping Beauty!

The other night Jason and I went into check on Megan and she was actually sleeping with her "beauty " mask on! We started laughing so hard, grabbed the camera, and began snapping pictures!

Ryan is 4 Months Old!

Ryan went in for his 4 month check-up last week!! He weighs a whoppin' 16 lbs. 4 oz. and is 26" long! He is doing really well according to his doctor! He got along really well with his shots this time! Ryan is always so happy and loves to talk!! He especially loves his big sister. She makes him laugh all of the time. I can't believe my little boy is already 4 months old. Time really goes by so fast. I treasure each day that I can hold him and rock him because I know he will be all grown up before I know it!!
