Megan's Catch

Megan ended up catching 3 fish! She was so excited to catch her very first fish. Of course she caught it right after I left to take Ryan home! Unfortunately, the fishing trip was cut short because Megan got bit by an ant. We decided next time she goes fishing she needs to wear shoes and socks-- no flip-flops! It was still very fun for her even with the bite!

A Day of Fishing!

Megan had been begging Jason to take her fishing. There are many ponds around St. George they fill with fish and one is very close to our house. Jason took Megan to Wal-Mart and she got herself a Barbie fishing pole. She was so excited to go fishing.

Megan was very impatient of course. She put in her pole and kept saying, "Dad, I think I feel a fish!"
Ryan just wanted to touch the worm!

Easter 2009

So, this was not the best Easter for us! Jason and I both got so sick the night before! We both ate some bad food and we were really sick. Jason took Megan out Easter morning to see what the Easter bunny left her while I stayed in bed. Megan got some fun things like High School Musical sunglasses, bubbles, a towel, and the typical Easter candy. Ryan got a ball and a big Tonka plastic truck. My parents came and got Megan for the day so she could still wear her Easter dress and to help Jason and I out. Megan had a great Easter, I only wish I could have enjoyed it with her a little more. Jason and I haven't been that sick in years!! I kn0w next year will be better!!

Annual Easter Party

My parents always have a Easter party for the grandkids each year. They get together and color eggs and get a special Easter treat. Megan looks forward to it every year.
Each year Megan gets more creative with her egg-coloring. She also loves to spend the time with her cousins.

Ryan was just along for the party!!

Taking Advantage of the Great Weather!

It was such a beautiful day and I felt we needed to make the most of it!! There are some great parks around town and, thanks to my sister-in-law, I'm discovering them!! Megan loves to go to the park. Ryan was not so easy to please. He went down the slide with Megan and at the end, he fussed. He was content to watch the other kids play. Megan's favorite part was going spinning around on some the contraptions they have. Ryan's favorite part was sitting on the swings with mom and watching the kids! What a great day!!

What's Been Going On!!

Ok- so its been quite awhile since I've updated the blog, but I have been busy and it has been put on the back burner!! Here's what I've been doing:
~ participating in 2 book clubs! (I've already read close to 20 books since January.)
~ catching up on Megan and Ryan's scrapbook
~ participating in a scrapbook club (way fun and a great way to get completed pages!!)
~ the addition of our house!
~taking care of Megan and Ryan (reading books, playing games, playing toys)
~keeping the house clean and somewhat dust-free with the addition going on!
~ participating in a dinner group! (cool thing-- I only cook one night a week!)
I have been busy and the last thing on my mind has been my blog, but I plan on keeping this updated better!!

Megan's Up-Date

Megan is still the cutest little girl ever!! As you can see her hair is cut pretty short! She has wanted it short and since she got her ears pierced, dad said she could cut her hair!! I think it makes her look alot older than 5! She is getting very anxious for summer. She wants to wear her swim-suit and flip-flops every day and I tell her not yet!! She is still doing really well with pre-school and she loves her dance class. We registered her for kindergarten this past week! She is so excited to start school! The school she will go to has all day kindergarten. She loves to play with Ryan and she always makes him laugh!!

Ryan's Up-date!!

At 9 1/2 months Ryan continues to be the happiest baby ever! He started crawling last week and he thinks hes pretty hot stuff!! I don't know if I like it because now I don't know where he is all the time. I put him down and hes gone! He has 2 teeth on the bottom and he loves to chew on stuff!! He loves to play with cords around the house. He also loves to open and shut drawers and cupboards. He will open and then shut the drawer, and then open and shut the drawer-- numerous times!! He loves to eat whatever mom is eating!! He is still not sleeping too well at night, but I have to keep telling myself he'll get the hang of it sooner or later!!

Happy Kids!

Posted by Picasa
I just love being a mom! My kids are the best! I love that Megan and Ryan are such good little buddies and such happy kids! I feel so lucky to be their mommy!

Megan's Dream

Megan loves to tell us about her dreams. She came in this morning and told us that she dreamed that she was riding her bike and she crashed. She had to go and get stencils on her head! Jason and I looked at each other and said, "Stencils on your head? Ouch!" Then she told us that daddy got to take the stencils out of her head when it was all better! I told her that I was glad it was only a dream!

Ryan has a Girlfriend!

Our old neighbors came by to visit and their little girl is a couple of months younger than him. When he saw her he kept staring at her and then leaning in and kissing her! He gave her about 10 kisses! He kept doing it and we were laughing so hard. Poor little Makenna was covered in Ryan's slobber! Jason was so proud of his little boy already kissing girls!

Sucker Be Gone!

Ryan had the experience today of having his first sucker! He loved it and made a huge sticky mess. Even better was that he ate the whole thing! There were only a few small remains on the kitchen floor. Jason was very glad that he was all cleaned up by the time he got home. Jason can't stand sticky things! I'm sure this will be the first of many more suckers to come!
